Spend a little more for a powerful disposer. This machine eats anything that'll fit into the opening. Ours has worked perfectly for 4 years. I would give it 5 stars, but you must push waste into it. The rubber guard (gasket?) on the In-Sink-erator works better than GE's. GE's rubber opening grabs food particles which then makes some of the water back up into the sink. The handle of a scrub brush takes care of that easily. For the price, the 1Hp Disposall is a winner.
