We've been using these filters for many years and they've been great. Sometimes, the tap water here changes and they add more chlorine (the city does warn us ahead of time). I can smell and taste it strongly. The filter does take some of the flavor and scent away, but it's not perfect. I still smell and taste it. Most of the time, the water from this filter tastes fresh and looks as clear as bottled water, and fridge filtered water is pretty much the only water we drink at home.
To make this filter fit our GE refrigerator, we need an adaptor, which we just take from the old filter every time we change filters. No need to buy a new adapter every time.

I have purchased this product for the past 6 years and never had a problem. when the water runs slow I replace the filter and it last aprox. 3 months to 4 months although it says 6 months. I believe it depends on how much you use your water filter. I use it all the time I never buy bottled water anymore. I use it to make my coffee, tea, hot choco and hot cereals. Hope this review helps also the I usually buy the 3 pact so I am never without my Water Filter. Shipping and delivery is great on Amazon never a problem.Customer Review: MWF Water Filter

The MWF water filter for the G E Profile series refrigerator was easily installed. The instructions that attended this product were not the clearest but were adequate. No tools or special skills were required for replacement of the filter.
The water filters were delivered in far less time than anticipated and were competitively priced. The seller provided excellent tracking of the order and will get a reorder from me when I need additional filters.

The filters were as described at a fair price, but the delivery was a little slow. I ordered another product from a different seller a week after I ordered the filters and they arrived at my home on the same day even though they were both shipped from the same general area. The seller of the filters did state that they had shipping issues, but I am not sure what means exactly. Overall the experience was ok. We have used these filters since our GE refrigerator was purchased new 6 years ago. They have provided us with clean, odor-free water. We change them when the "replace filter" light comes on. We usually get 9 - 10 months of use from each one.
I've always considered the filters to be expensive, so when I run out I always buy a 3-pack to lower the cost/filter, and I shop Amazon to get the best price possible.
