I don't know if this was peculiar to the clock I received, but the displays are funny. When I have it on "alarm off", it displays the alarm time, not the real time. Therefore, I always have to keep it on "alarm on" which is annoying on the days I want to sleep in. I even tried keeping it on "time set", but the alarm still went off. And on "alarm set" it just shows the alarm setting and not the time. Very confusing and irritating.Customer Review: Nice travel alarm clock

Just got this alarm clock, and it is as advertised. Easy to set the time and alarm, with a blue light that is very effective. I've had alarm clocks that have a light that usually lets you barely see the display, not so here. Just make sure you learn what angle to look at to clearly see it. You will need 2 AAA batteries, but it took me less than 5 minutes from opening package to having time and alarm set up and ready to go.Customer Review: Does what it's meant to do

Got this alarm clock in the summer because I had a hard time waking up early in the morning and little money to spend. It's easy to setup, it's durable (I've thrown it a few times), and the alarm is loud and annoying, which is a good thing. It's waken up every day since I bought it, definitely happy with this clock.
I recommend this product for anyone wanting a nice quality alarm clock for under $10.

What I like best about the Elgin travel alarm clock is the large, blue back-lit display. The slide buttons to set the alarm and time are a little tricky to use because they tend to stick a little, but it is not enough of a problem for me to give it a lower rating. The exterior is hard plastic and I would have liked it to feel a little sturdier, but it keeps the weight and price down. All in all not a bad product.Customer Review: A Fine Travel Alarm

I wanted a simple travel alarm that would be SURE to wake me up and is reasonably priced. This is EXACTLY what I wanted! I odered two. I especially like the cover; it covers the control buttons but leaves the display visible. The slider switch is a bit flimsy, but it works just fine. The 4 minute snooze is not adjustable, but it is good for traveling - you really do need to get up when the alarm goes off.
