Tools and Hardware Reviews of GET A GRIP SAFETY BARCustomer Review: Phony Advertisement Summary: 1 Stars
The advertisement for this product is untrue. One ad shows a man using these safety bars like a ladder as he climbs up a boat. Yet, the warning inside the box exposes the real truth. They cannot support 5 lbs. of pressure let alone one's total weight. I purchased the extra duty ones because the ad said they possessed greater suction power. This, too, is untrue. They would not stick to anything no matter how hard I pushed or cleaned the surface. Amazon.com should bear some of the burden and refund the money spent on this site for this cheap, unsafe product.
Customer Review: Worthless Piece of Junk Summary: 1 Stars
We bought a pair of these for my elderly mother to use in the bathroom. We followed the instructions exactly as on the package. The product didn't even stay up for a few hours. We tried repositioning them in different places, but they still didn't work. I would never trust the safety of my mother, or anybody else for that matter, to these grips. These are made by Telebrands, which I have dealth with before, and I didn't think very highly of them. Now my opinion of them is even lower. This product is a worthless piece of junk.
Customer Review: Misrepresented-no star! Summary: 1 Stars
I ordered the Get a Grip Safety Bar. It came from Before The Store. It was nothing like the picture;it was chrome-painted thin plastic. It didn't have the safety lights. And it would fall off the wall without even pulling it.
When I e-mailed the company, they didn't even question me, just said don't bother sending it back and they would refund the money. I believe that they knew it was a cheaper product and just hoped that they would get away with it. I feel that Amazon should remove this link.
Customer Review: Don't trust the promises; these DON"T stick!!! Summary: 1 Stars
I bought these for my mother, who has bad knees and has trouble getting up stairs and into and out of the bathtub. I was disappointed when she said she wasn't using them because she was afraid they wouldn't stick. When I went to visit her, I attached them to several surfaces, all of them flat, clean and dry, as instructed. I could pull them off of each surface and wouldn't trust them to hold anyone, especially an elderly person who could fall. So, don't buy these!!!
Customer Review: not happy - one star is too high Summary: 1 Stars
GET A GRIP SAFETY BAR . It fell off the wall, two feet from the floor, and fell apart. it appeared that the little pin that holds the suction pressure tab in place, fell out and I have no way of knowing how to repair it.
I saw another one similar at a medical supply store (the color different) I wondered if the one I purchased from you was a cheap copy of a higher quality one, on display at the store.
