This product is and does just what it says it is and does, not much else needs to be said.
I'm perfectly safisfied with it, I work with gemstones and antique glass and this UV inspection light is the best light I've ever used. It is a true UV 'black' light not just a blue tinted light - which are useful; but, not nearly as good as a real UV 'black' light. I have other UV lights; but, most of them are rather delicate - I don't carry them around. This flashlight is nice and rugged, I've no problem just sticking it in my pocket as I head out the door, no worries. It's got to the point where I carry it almost all the time, comes in real handy.

I purchased this item about a year and a half ago. Initially I liked the build quality (constructed from metal) and the brightness. However, after about 3 months of use, the flashlight stopped working. When I switch it on the light is very dim. I have to tap it against a desk a few times before the intensity changes to full brightness. There seems to be a loose connection inside the flashlight --- it is a metal connector between the LED bulbs and the battery case that has lost its spring action to maintain connection. I have to constantly open the flashlight and re-adjust the metal tab to make it work. Overall, very unreliable and poorly designed item.Customer Review: True UV spectrum

This dandy little flashlight is true spectrum UV. Others out there are just Purple LEDs: Florescent colors and white should glow if the diodes are correct. I actually use them to spot where to "touch up" paint. Thin areas of color especially with a heavy texture substrates, it is easy to instantly spot where more paint is needed. Assuming you are painting a dark color over white or light color. I have had these for a few months and as a contractor, I am pretty rough on some of my equipment. These have performed well, withstanding a second story drop without incident. Battery life is excellent as expected with led's.Customer Review: Very useful for pets

We have two cats and for a long time life was good. In December we added a new dog to the list and the male cat decided to start marking its territory. After doing an extensive research I decided to get this light versus others. It was LED and UV true spectrum. Of course you have to use it at night, but oh my God... I have to rent a carpet steamer... The light was able to pick up all the spots. So I attest that it is excellent for pet pee detection (on condition of being used at night (dark room) with no other light source). I could also use it around the house to detect leaks.Customer Review: Works to find stains

Product works great!! Purchased light to find pet stains in the carpet, and works as promised. Also found other stains in carpet (from too many suds from carpet steam cleaner for example). Room/area must be very dark for it to really show the stains. I recommend to use it at night; during the day (even with all lights off) it will still be too light to be effective. The battery holder area is quite cheap, but just be careful when loading batteries, and also be very careful not to cross-thread the battery cover when putting back on (being cheap it is easy to cross-thread that cover).
