This works far better than I ever could have imagined. I use it in our second bathroom- the potty training bathroom and diaper disposal area. I don't have a diaper genie or any kind of scent proof can for diapers since my oldest is potty training and using pull ups. Our overhead fan didn't even help because it does not work. To say that bathroom smelled before would be an understatement- no one could use it, everyone had to use the bathroom in my bedroom. I DREADED having to give the kids baths in there.
I have tried charcoal filters and baking soda (allergic to chemicals and the air fresheners) but they did not even make a dent in the oder.
Since I bought this though- even if someone forgot to flush or the diaper can is full- you cannot smell it. I can sit in there for as long as the kids want during bath time and it doesn't matter.
There is almost a slightly metallic smell in the air from it, but I have a very sensitive nose so maybe it's not something everyone would notice.
I would recommend this a hundred times over. I am still amazed at the difference it made in my house.
