Customer Review: A waste of money

I don't know what towels the other reviewers got, but the ones I got are horrible. They don't absorb liquid very well at all. In fact, I find them to be cheaply made, very thin. Sure they are large, but my little terry kitchen washcloths soak up much more water than these do. I bought them for the kitchen so I could wipe down the counters, but they just seem to push the water around. Sometimes, I get so frustrated, I just go grab a paper towel or one of my old, beaten up washcloths. I wouldn't waste my money on this again.
UPDATE: I had a whole 2/3 of a bag of these sitting unused inside my pantry because the ones I initially used were so horrible. Over time (and I mean a long time) what ever had kept the towels from absorbing water wore off or was washed off. It was not one washing by a longshot. It was many, many washings. However, they did get more absorbant. So, I pulled the rest out to use and they are just like what I remember with the first batch. I am hopeful that after lots of washings, these too will become more absorbant.
