These energy efficient light bulbs give just as much light as an ordinary 100 watt bulb. Energy Smart Spiral bulbs take a few seconds to reach peak brightness, but after that I can tell no difference between the amount of light they give and the amount an ordinary 100 watt bulb gives.Customer Review: SHORT LIVED BULBS
