Customer Review: Too big for most fixtures

Although the overall quality of this energy-saving light bulb is excellent, I had to return it because it was way bigger than I expected.
I was planning to use it in a large recessed ceiling fixture, but it would barely fit in width and would protrude by an inch. Put another way, this bulb is almost double the length of a traditional 100W bulb.
Another problem is the width of the body just above the thread: very few fixtures are capable of accommodating such a big bulb.
