I've never liked the big clunky 80's garage door remotes. When buying cars, this has often helped push me to trim levels that include the HomeLink system. The pricing of those packages is often rediculously high. So in my latest purchase, I decided to skip it. That left me with a need for something to control my two garage doors. Enter the GICT390-3BL. It is the size of a car alarm key fob, fits in the ash tray of my car, and works great. It doesn't have quite the distance of the clunky remotes or HomeLink, but I think that has more to do with being hidden in the ashtray when I click it than the remote itself. In any case, it works far enough away that by the time I'm ready to pull into the garage, it's open.
Programming it couldn't have been easier and took less than 3 minutes for both openers. If you've ever fooled with a HomeLink system, this is much easier.
I'm now thinking of getting a second one for pocking when going for walks. Great product and very reasonable price!
