This remote works okay. I have problems with the numbers sticking in. After I push a number, it often gets stuck under the plastic and I need to jiggle it back out. If you don't jiggle the numbers out after your code is entered, the remote stays active and anyone can open your door at any time. It also will run out the battery.
If I had paid a lot for this, I'd probably be upset, but for $20, it's a decent remote.

I had a few problems using until I tried various methods of inputting the numbers. You need to push each button long enough to see the LED light flicker. If you push fast and it only flashes once, the code will not work. Now it never fails. Also, the keypad only illuminates after the first button push, so your first push is in the dark. I was pleasantly surprised at the well written instructions for programing and installing. It took me less than 10 minutes to have this keypad in place and ready for use. The only down side is having to wait several seconds before reentering the code if you miskey it. It would also be nice if the entire keypad lit up, not just the three middle verticle numbers. The Genie Wireless Keypad works great as advertised and cost much less on Amazon.com than local stores. It was easy to program and mount and I have already used it many times. I'm not sure how long the battery (9V) will last, but that's not a big deal. The convenience of not having to have a hand held remote available when wanting to open the garage door from the outside is neat.Customer Review: Spotless Performance

I have been using this wireless Genie keypad with Intellicode for the last few weeks and have had zero issues. Installation and operation has been both easy and and user friendly. The cover for the unit and for the battery compartment are both working fine. It took me about 15 minutes to get it up and running and the directions were easy to follow. I give it two thumbs up.
