Tools and Hardware Reviews of Genie GWKPD-BL New Wireless Keypad with Intellicode

Customer Review: Pretty Good Product
Summary: 4 Stars

The Genie GWKPD-BL New Wireless Keypad with Intellicode was easy to install, easy to setup, and it is working well. My only complaint/comment is that the plastic case that it is enclosed in is rather flimsy for outside use. I ended up cracking the back of the case when I installed it using a power screwdriver.

Customer Review: Good product
Summary: 4 Stars

This device was easy to install and program. Very convenient to use without carrying a key. The only question I have is about the function that allows any key to operate the garage door within 30 seconds after the code is entered. Doesn't that allow anybody who is following me to open the door right behind me?

Customer Review: Signal does not reach from outside
Summary: 1 Stars

I had tough time programming this keypad, and the performance was about one out of ten tries that worked. The main issue ended up being that the receiver would not respond to the keypad unless it was in a very close proximity to it, inside the garage, which defeats the whole purpose of having the keypad.

Customer Review: A Great Product
Summary: 4 Stars

The keypad garage door opener is a great convenience. The Genie Intellicode model works great and provides a great deal of security. Only one problem with it. The hinge which connects the flip-up cover and the main device is rather poorly designed and "chintzy". Otherwise, it's a great product.

Customer Review: Works As Advertised
Summary: 5 Stars

I use this as an external "backup" to open my Overhead Door Intellicode garage door in case I don't have my remote opener -- which I invariably do when I get a loaner car from the dealership for routine maintenance, repairs, etc. Instructions were very clear, and installs in a snap.
