I have had 3 of these, each one replacing the last due to me pushing the limits of the multiple tools. Usually trying to pry something with the screwdriver or knife. What I like most about this tool, is that usually when I need it, I only have one hand available and with the sliding pliers, you can open it with one hand. Also, you can pull out the needed tool with one and with some practice. I used it as a Mobile Audio/Video/Security Installer, used it multiple times a day, everyday.Customer Review: Worthy alternative to the Leatherman Wave

I've had this tool for over a year. The blade holds its edge well and is half serrated, giving it extra cutting power for rope and other tough-to-cut items. The pliers are literally available at the flick of a wrist: they pop-out instantly with a little skill. If you want to use the pliers often or need a top-quality knife, this is a better choice than the Wave. However, the Wave's blade is easier to access so that is the way to go if you expect to do more cutting than pliering.Customer Review: Quality not as good as before

I have had one of these for several years, and I love it. However, this one I just received was a complete disappointment. The jaw had interference when closing it, at the wire cutter area. Also, it felt very gritty, like it was tossed around in fine dirt. I also think the case is too big - bigger than the one I currently have (and it's the same model). Unfortunately, I had to return it for a refund. Gerber, what happened to your quality?Customer Review: Little Wizard!

Just got one of these for Christmas. It gets 5 stars for now because: You really can access the pliers with a flick of the wrist, you've just got to keep it oiled which you should do anyway. It is very lightweight, going unnoticed on the belt. Phillips head is the closest I've seen to a #2 in a multi-tool. It may not be a true #2 but others I've seen/used are clearly #1's. I don't know if giver purchased it from Amazon, I hope so.Customer Review: Won't leave home without it.

I've carried and USED Gerber Multitools every day for over 20 years. The MP400 that I carry now is only the second one in that length of time. Nothing wrong with the 1st one but I dropped it in a pond and couldn't get it out. To say that I use and occasionally abuse it is an understatement. This thing will take anything that I've been able to throw at it and then some. These tools are well made and can be depended on.
