I have had this multi-tool for years and have bought a few more for my co-workers. I even thought I lost mine once, and immediately bought a replacement, I later found mine and now have two! Light weight, spring-loaded wirecutters with a replaceable cutting edge, the ability to access tools with one hand without opening the tool, a file, scissors, jig-saw blade, screw drivers and a sharp knife blade are just some of the things that make this the best multi-tool I know of.Customer Review: Handy

I use my gerber MP-800 mostly at work. I work in an office as an engineer and I often need to do some R&D at my desk. This is where the MP-800 comes in handy. It fits in the desk drawer or I can strap it on my belt when I need to go out in the shop. All the tools lock in place. The saw blade is replacable so you are not afraid to wear it out. This is also true with the indexable wire cutters in the pliers. The MP-800 is the next best thing to a whole tool box.Customer Review: Best of the one's I've tried!

Very rugged multi, with the right add-ons.I've used one of these for some time, and as a professional firefighter, it has seen extremely brutal use and survived with no damage.
It certainly lives up to it's reputation as a solidly built, long lasting multi. The small bits are stored neatly into the nylon belt pouch provided, and the blades keep a keen edge.
I don't go out on fire calls without it!

This is a multitool. It will not replace an entire tool box, but is super handy to have for small jobs and an emergency. I have used this to fix my wife's car, my truck, our household toilet, guns, etc. It's bailed me out a couple of times when a car broke down, etc.
I also have a Victorinox Swiss Army multitool and I like the features of the Gerber better. For a working tool, this one rocks.

Gerber 48239 Legend Multi-Plier 800
IMHO this is the best multi-tool on the market. I use it in combat to repair weapons and vehicles. Many of my team mates have other brands of multi tools. They all end up wanting to use my Gerber because it is so much stronger and better than the tool they have.
