Tools and Hardware Reviews of Gerber 22-01035 3-Blade Stag Stockman Fine Edge Lock-Back Pocket KnifeCustomer Review: Very pleasantly surprised Summary: 5 Stars
I lost my Buck Stockman pocket knife. It is no longer made so I despaired of replacing it. After some fairly extensive searching I bought this one. The price made me worry about the quality but when I received it all concerns vanished.
It isn't perfect, the bolster "snags" a little bit, but overall it is much nicer than the price would indicate (compared with other brand's Stockmans). The blades are very well made, almost a mirror finish - the grinding marks are very fine and not intrusive.
Note that this knife is a bit wider than many. The stag portion extends a little wider than my previous knife. This, of course, is Yin-and-Yang. It's bulky in a pocket but it's very easy to use and grip.
Customer Review: Not bad for the money Summary: 4 Stars
"Heirloom quality" for a made in China knife of this price, that is pushing it. "Here son, take this to remind yourself of when we sold out ot China". However it is well made and solid. Nice gift/token, but the small box it came in was torn and scuffed, definitely been opened and messed with, and I hate giving gifts that look like that. If I had not got this for $16, after the lightning deal, I would have returned it for that reason. And did not gift it for that reason
Lenght is just over 3" same as a Swiss Army, but it is definitely not a Swiss Army. I placed it in my tackle box for fishing, but My Swiss Army knife still goes with me camping, now that is an "heirloom".
Customer Review: Legendary blade at a comfortable price Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this legendary Gerber 3-blade stockman pocket knife because of it's lockback main blade and it's "Old school" look. It's a real beauty all right with it's filigree etched bolsters and real stag horn handle grips. Almost too nice for everyday use, but with 3 very sharp and sturdy blades I found it to be quite suitable for carving and scraping which is what I mostly use a pocket knife for. This one's a keeper, and because of it's heirloom quality, I intend to pass it on to my son one day.
Customer Review: Great knife Summary: 5 Stars
I picked this up on one of Amazon's deals of the day, so it was heavily discounted. I haven't owned a new knife in about 10 years, so I have been pleasantly surprised with the sharpness of the blade. The knife is also sturdy, and I like that the long blade runs most of the length of the handle. It feels good in the hand, and has slightly more heft than I expected, which is great. It's not a big knife by any means, but not too small to feel good handling.
Customer Review: Good Knife. Easy blades. Good Quality. Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this knife as a gift. Naturally, I've taken it out of the box, opened it up and checked it out. It's a great knife. The blades open easily, but not too easily. Lock-back is a great safety feature. It's small enough to carry as a useful pocket knife. Quality construction. I am very pleased with this knife for a gift.
