This machete is the perfect brush clearing tool. It comes with a good edge but I like splitting hairs, so I honed it to a very fine edge. Wow what a tool it cut through Bamboo with little effort, dry brush no problem. I was able to cut through small tree limbs in seconds to feed my fire. I am impressed with the furosity of this blade, yes it is a bit intimadating. The shieth is well made and can be put on your belt for easy access. If I ever need to cut a larger tree limb the saw on the back will take care of that. The teeth look like that of a cross cut hand saw blade. All in all a very nice tool for camping, hunting or yard work.
