Customer Review: Poor design

The knife looks great, is very sharp out of the package. I don't know how long it'll take to dull this blade as I've rarely used it because of the following design flaws.
The clip is completely useless with one hand. The crossbar in the back behind the clip doesn't extend all the way to the other side. It stops right about the same spot as the bottom of the clip. Because of this flaw, clipping it on to your pants without using both hands is completely impossible. Taking it out with one hand is still fine.
The blade does not extend with one hand very easily. It can be done, but it's not easy. I find that putting the blade back in with one hand is also very difficult, though it can be done. This knife requires two hands, and because of this I am really not happy with it. It goes in to the collection as a nice looking blade, but completely useless as the everyday tool that I expect it to be.
Spend a few extra bucks and buy a Kershaw Ken Onion design. I own both the Chive and the Clash and they are both extremely easy to use with one hand from clipping them on, to taking them off, to opening the blade and back to closing it again. The blades are also very sharp right out of the package. This is how a good pocket knife is designed these days. Gerber needs to learn from them.
