After reading so many positive reviews for this pot rack, I ordered it. It was shipped promptly, and came very well packaged, and like others, I was surprised at the quality for $40.
I hung this pot rack on a vaulted ceiling, so the chains that were provided for hanging were not long enough. Also, there were no installation instructions or hardware, so a trip to the local home improvement center was needed. After purchasing 2 eye hooks ($0.95 each- weight limit 120 lbs each), black spray paint for the eye hooks, and some black decorative chain ($0.92 a foot)to accommodate my vaulted ceiling, I was ready to hang the pot rack.
The chains that are provided for the pot rack are about 18 inches long, and should accommodate most ceilings. The only complaint that I have about this rack is that one of the wing nuts was threaded strangely, so it didn't go on to to the pot rack easily. However, once it is on, you never touch it again, so it wasn't a big deal. The pot rack seems to be of very solid construction, and I have no fear of it coming loose from the attached weld spots. It came with 10 hooks for pots and pans, each hook can hold 2 items. I felt that there were ample hooks, and didn't need to purchase more. Because it is only attached to the ceiling in two places, it does seem to sway a bit when taking pans on and off of the hooks. Also, it is important to weigh the pans equally, so that the rack doesn't tip to one side more than the other.
Overall, I am very pleased with this product. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to free up cabinet space, or to add a little extra personality to your kitchen.
