I agree with Betty Dravis and I wish I had her eyes for a bargain. "Betty Dravis Eyes", somehow sounds familiar. Well anyway these bulbs not only last longer they save a good deal of electricity. I have a hall light that seems like I was replacing it with conventional bulbs every couple weeks, a month at most. When I replaced it with a fluorescent bulb like this one it lasted 3 months at least and then the only reason I think it went out is the freight train that shakes the house after thirty years of rattling the rafters made the fixture flakey as a week old croissant.Customer Review: 5 stars not enough

Ok... so they take a fraction of a second to kick on when you hit the switch, and OH NO you can't use them on a dimmer. But unlike most CFL's I've seen and/or used, they don't have that annoying blue hue to them! They're brighter, use less energy, and best of all, give nearly the same color light as an incandescent!
Buy these bulbs, save some money on your power bill, brighten up your home, and reduce your carbon output!!! Whatever you believe regarding global warming, save some money on your power bills and go to sleep happy! :)

I bought these bulbs to use in hanging pendant lights. The CFLs I had in the pendants were too long and hung out the bottom - just looked crappy. So I ordered these 'mini' lamps. Ha! Shame on me for believing 'mini' meant smaller. Not quite sure what Globe considers "mini" but these things are huge. They hung out of the pendant light further than the originals. I'll keep them because I can use them for some other fixtures. I ended up buying CFLs at Target - I think they're GE - much shorter and the pendants look much better.Customer Review: Great Value here!

Fabulous. These bulbs will outlast regular incadescent bulbs 10 fold. They save money and they are COOL to use, no heat. They are quiet, no buzzing, not even with your ear to the bulb. They are bright, and cost less than 1/4 to illuminate as regular bulbs. Use them in those hard to reach locations like the garage ceiling. You will not need to get out that ladder to change them for likely 15 years. The savings, the convenience, the advantages make this deal stellar. These bulbs basically work as expected. The light is pretty warm and near indistinguishable from that of an incandescent bulb. Like all compact fluorescents, these take a few seconds to "warm up" to maximum brightness, but they turn on instantly. Besides the substantial energy savings and longer lifespan, these bulbs produce much less ambient heat than incandescents, meaning they aren't fighting my air conditioner if I'm trying to cool my apartment, and the metal shade of my bedside lamp stays cool to the touch.
