Customer Review: Video can be misleading

I watched the video and thought this would be a helpful product for handling sheets of plywood by myself. By no means am I the weakest person nor the strongest but I started with 3/4 inch plywood and it's not as painless to carry as it appears. Apparently on the video they are really strong or its 1/4 inch plywood. The product did work and I will continue to use it but with the heavier plywood I found myself bracing my wrist with my other hand. I have not tried it on drywall but I'm sure it will make carrying drywall easier by oneself.

This device is a quality made lifting device for hoisting and carrying heavy sheet goods such as plywood and chipboard. The no-mar surface grips the material and leaves no marks. The cam action grip is well made and grips the sheet well. I often hoist construction grade plywood and siding by myself and this device allows me to do it in a safer manner. Your body will thank you for using this product and avoiding the strain and pain that sometimes results when trying to lift heavy and akward products.Customer Review: Not as useful as I had anticipated

This one wasnt quite as I thought it would be.
I think it would be better for a taller individual as im a bit under 6 feet, i find it would be much more maneuverable if a typical 4' wide board were a bit higher off the floor.
And becuase the physics of the device required its own weight to maintain grip, you cant well angle the board once lifted to another position, like to go up steps or such, without worrying if your going to lose the load.
I often just dont use it.

Oh my gosh! This thing works as good as advertised. If you ever have the need to work alone and carry full sheets of plywood or siding, when a helping hand is unavailable, you can get it done with this. The weight of the item does not go away, but it sure makes it easy to balance and carry the load with one hand, or two. I bought it to give to my friend as a birthday gift, but since I am in the middle of a project and I need it, I only showed it to him and told him he will have to wait.Customer Review: Reasonable tool, but not for everything or everyone

A well made tool. Works quite well for 3/4 panels, progressively less well as the panel gets thinner. And, as another reviewer has noted, under less than ideal conditions the gripper may suddenly drop the panel, at the peril of the panel, your foot, and your customer's shiny floor. If possible, try one before you buy. You may find (as I did) that one of those cheap plastic carriers that you stick under the panel actually works better for your particular anatomy.
