Tools and Hardware Reviews of Gorilla Gripper 44010 Panel CarrierCustomer Review: Great product Summary: 5 Stars
I saw this item on the DIY show "Cool Tools" and I knew it would be useful to me to move sheets of plywood and sheetrock around by myself. I am not a contractor, but occasionally do my own work around the house. I used the product right out of the box and used it to move a 4X8 sheet of 3/4 inch plywood with ease. It easy to use, has a comfortable grip and holds without slip.
Customer Review: Gorilla Gripper is Re-designed - Now rated 4 Stars Summary: 1 Stars
My previous review of this tool was quite negative but I am happy to report that the manufacturer has completely re-designed it with substantial improvements. It is recommended for anyone who needs to move sheet materials (plywood, drywall, etc.) around. The gripper is not designed for materials below 3/8" thickness without putting a pad (rubber or similar) into the jaws.
Customer Review: Works! Summary: 5 Stars
Moving 3/4 inch hardwood plywood by yourself without damage was not possibile for me before this. I would let one edge drop and a corner would be dented. This grips the edge and it is as easy as moving around a 2X4. As I get older I like to find smart ways to work rather than macho ways. With this, I'll get another 10 to 15 years of woodworking out of this body!
Customer Review: slippery slope Summary: 1 Stars
Good idea....but not tested enough..!
the gripper tends to slide off typical sheathing products such as
the 4' x 8' "Advantec" & "Grant" products.
These sheathings are fast becoming the standard for side wall sheathing
and also roofs as well as sub floors
I do NOT recommend this product....money wasted..!
Customer Review: WIFE SAVER Summary: 5 Stars
I think this is a great product. It's simple, nothing to go out of adjustment, and it just simply works. My wife likes it even more than I do. She no longer has to drop what she is doing to get a hand full of splinters trying to help me move plywood in my shop. I thought it was a little expensive, but found it's worth every penny!
