Tools and Hardware Reviews of Gorilla Tape 1.88-Inch by 35-Yard Tape RollCustomer Review: Best Tape Ever Summary: 5 Stars
For the past three months, I have had long strips of this tape holding down the weather seal on my garage floor. I thought this would just be a temporary fix, but after three months of being daily driven over by a car, it hasn't even begun to show wear or come loose. The seal it's holding down has been working perfectly as well.
It's been rained on, driven on, spilled on, and looks as good as the day I put it down. This is some serious tape. I will definitely buy more of this when my supply runs out.
Customer Review: gorilla tape NOT so great Summary: 1 Stars
I have used gorilla glue and was satisfied with it. So I thought gorilla tape would be a good product also. Boy was I wrong... I first used it to patch a small tear in a boat shrink wrap. It held good for about 10 weeks, then the adhesive seperated from the backing. The next time I tried to use it was about a year later. The adhesive was completely dried out, and had also bonded to the back of the fabric. The roll was useless. I will use regular duct tape from now on.(and it's cheaper)
Customer Review: Works as described!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Great for bonding things that no other tape can hold. Definitely do not use for temporary holds because it can be difficult to pry off. I've used it on all types of surfaces and it's held on everything I've used it so far. Can be difficult to cut pieces if your scissors aren't super sharp. Would highly recommend to keep around the house and even keep an extra roll in the car...small pieces come in handy for emergency "sewing" like hems that come undone!
Customer Review: Gorilla tape did NOT stick for me Summary: 1 Stars
How funny, i tried AGAIN to use the gorilla tape i had, to stick to brick...have tried it for concrete as well...and it not did not stick WHATSOEVER...i did an internet search after it did not work...AGAIN..for tape that stick to brick or concrete..and was directed here....maybe it works for somoene..but i have tried over and over and over..and this has never worked as billed....try it at your own expense...
Customer Review: Great for convertible tops too.... Summary: 5 Stars
I bought Gorilla Tape to seal up a tear in my convertible top. 5 minutes later - my top was sealed (I taped it on the inside so the tear is almost unnoticeable). Still dry as a bone months later. Moreover, the black color blended perfectly with my top interior.
No idea how long it will last - but at this rate - I'll just retape and save myself the $1000 for a new top.
