As noted in other reviews, this light can be upgraded a bit by soldering in sturdier connections. I find it gives a nice light for a pocket-size light, and it is well designed and very lightweight. You can't beat it for the price, and with flashlights its best to go cheap and disposable if you're going to keep it in a tool kit Denali 115-Piece Home Repair Tool Kit or take it places where it will get banged around. I have better ones for the house and car, but this light hits the price point for a cheap but effective LED light.Customer Review: Amazing Light Intensity!!

Look for the 100 LED flashlight here on Amazon. Yes, it is larger and it costs more, but you won't regret it. Read my review before buying the 100 LED flashlight. But if you don't need very much light and cost is a primary consideration, this 28 LED version is marginally adequate. I've noticed problems at times with flikering light and that is because the terminals inside the light tarnish making for an intermittent situation that is rectified by rotating the battery compartment while pressing it against the LED bulb assembly. And rotate the batteries while inserted to clean the surfaces. It doesn't happen often.Customer Review: People here must be stupid.

This flashlight is awesome. I have three of them. If it flickers, you just tighten the caps on either end. It really doesn't work as well as a push button flashlight as a "twist the cap and it stays on" flashlight." Besides, you don't want it to work as a push button flashlight.
Just twist the cap to turn it on, and then twist the cap the other way to turn it off. If you keep it in your car like I do, just take one of the caps off all the way. It's a great, tiny flashlight that will impress all your friends and come in real handy. Get one. Rite-Aids sell them usually if you want to try one out.

The best way I can describe this flashlight is to compare it to one of those $3 EverReady flashlights in Pros and Cons:
Pros: Half the size of an EverReady, made of metal so it "feels" sturdier, slightly brighter.
Cons: Unreliable in it's lighting - sometimes it's brighter, sometimes it's dimmer, sometimes you've got to bang it on your hand to try and keep it from flickering or dimming.
Not a horrible flashlight - I'm doing fine with it - I like the compact nature of it, but the reliability of the steadiness of the lighting is more akin to something you'd pick up at a dollar store.

This flashlight is so small, it fits in the palm of my hand. It's highly durable, and VERY powerful; VERY bright. Lights up everything with a bright white light. When I first bought this flashlight, that night, I turned it on and held it up, pointing it at the sky, and I could see a beam of light coming from this small flashlight held in my hands, shooting straight up into the dark sky of night.
