If you are looking for a floor lamp for your kids to use for studying in their room, this is it. We've purchased several lamps before this and they were either not enough light or too florescent.

I really like reading under this lamp, and I noticed that on an overcast day, I can't tell the difference between the light coming in from outside and the light emitted by the lamp. Heck, even my houseplant likes it. There is only one con, for me: it was surprisingly frustrating to put together out of the box -- but that's over with now.
