I can't stand the yellowish light from incandescent bulbs and fluorescent are too impersonal and a shock to the system. Bought this lamp for homework for my child and the quality of the light is perfect. My elementary school child even remarked,"Wow, look at the way the light looks!" If you need to see detail clearly this is the lamp for you. Cons: none really, but I think I need to buy the taller one as well.
Pro tip: point light at a corner in the room and the reflected light is better than pointing it directly at whatever you're looking at. Vendor got it to me timely with standard shipping; packaging was more than adequate.Skateboarding Explained Skateboard DVD

The lamp works great. Until it doesn't Even strong light, easy on the eyes, but one day the lamp stops working. I have three of them. All met the same fate, just stopped working. I finally called Grandrich today. They said there is a 2 year warranty. And they will send me replacement transformer. I bet that will be the problem. They said it doesn't happen that often. I have three and it happened to all of them. What do you think? I also have the sunlamp, which is cheaper, and it hasn't happened to that one yet but I have only had it three months now...

This lamp is really quite versatile. In perusing the various features of this lamp, I discovered what a wide range of functions this lamp possesses. These include:
1) Turn on.
2) Turn off.
3) Plug in.
4) Unplug.
Not only is this lamp indubitably functional, but it also resembles a cobra. One night, I was working late, and looked up from my laptop, and I could've sworn this was a deadly cobra. One is almost transported to India, land of snake charmers, when looking at this lamp. One problem I had was that the lamp was not colored like a real cobra. This could easily be remedied by a DIY weekend project, and some paint from Home Depot.

Although I did not purchase this particular lamp (I purchased the floor model), I would warn potential customers to be sure to save their receipt for any purchase from this company. If you are buying the lamp used, it might be a problem. The lamp I purchased was a $50 lamp made by the same company and it didn't last one month before blowing the circuit panel, which had to be replaced at our expense. I had misplaced the receipt and the company would not honor my word, so we had to pay for the part and the shipping. My husband, who is a very good handyman, was able to install the part himself, but I don't think just anyone could have done that.Customer Review: Oversized lamp, cheap plastic look

When this thing shipped to me i just plain hated it.
1. Lamp looks nice on the picture, but in real life plastic that its made of looks really cheap
2. Though i approximated the dimensions when i bought it, the lamp turned out to be HUGE
3. The lamp is huge, but the CORD is very very SHORT, about 2,5ft only.
4. The bulb is DIM
5. I keep it tho, primarily because even if I'd like to return it, the shipping is at my own cost. I checked out with the USPS, and they estimated it to be around $15, about the half price i paid for the lamp. So i keep it, this ugliest thing I've ever owned in my life.
