Customer Review: Don't buy this! It lasts only a few weeks.

I used this lamp about three weeks, but it stopped working. As I thought it is merely because of a defective bulb, I replaced the bulb spending about 10 dollars at a local store. But that was not the cause. The lamp itself was problematic! Only after that I revisited this webpage and by opening "all customers review" other than the selected a few which are four or five starred, I was able to able to find that there are many other customers faced the same problem! I strongly dissuade you if you are looking for a new lamp unless you feel comfortable with the one which may last only a few weeks.Customer Review: Bright light for study time.

I had this lamp since 2009 and I absolutely love it. I use it almost every night. This light is very bright which is exactly what I was looking for when I needed to get serious during study time without falling asleep., but after reading the negative reviews I'm even afraid to order a second one even after absolutely loving my lamp I don't know how I ever studied without this lamp ohh yeah I used to study in the kitchen table . I will look around just for sakes but I am 99% sure I will buy me a second one hope is not a manufacture defective issue with that the newer models.Customer Review: Good inexpensive product. I ll make it simple. The lamp is good. The light is nice white and clear. Much easier for eyes. I do have very sensitive eyes and after working 8 hours by the PC at my work I need real good light to read. This lamp provides me with that. If it lasts according to specs i would say its a very good buy. The price is right. The quality is good. I am a satisfied buyer. Yes, I do recommend this lamp, especially if you read or study a lot. Save your eyes and go with 27w natural spectrum products like this one. I am planning to substitute all my lamps with natural spectrum ones.Customer Review: Great When It Works

The lamp has a great natural light color and the design produces lots of reflected light. The problem is that every other day the lamp will not turn on. At first I thought it was the bulb but, after buying a replacement and installing it, that did not correct the problem. There is a defect in the lamp socket that keeps the lamp from working consistently. I have to remove the bulb and repeatedly reinsert it into the socket every day. This process can take several tries and is not at all what I am looking for when simply trying to turn on a lamp. Caveat Emptor!Customer Review: Good, but weird clicking noise

Overall, this lamp was a good buy. It provides good lighting and it was relatively cheap compared to Verilux. However, 5 minutes after I turn it on, it makes this sound as if a rubber band had hit it. I think it might be the metal prongs that are supposed to hold the bulb in place. The prongs are really poorly made and don't fit the bulb so if you shove it into place, it'll fit somewhat sideways. I'm guessing after I turn it on, the bulb somehow pops out of the prongs, but it doesn't fall out of the lamp so it's not a big problem.
