Obviously it is a table lamp, so not expected to give lot of light for the entire room!
Pros: Nice light (don't know if this is really full spectrum or not, but better than most fluorescent lamps; I can't see any flicker at all with this light.
affordable price
Cons: a little on the cheap side (looks/construction) but Ok for a student table/dorm use.
In all, gives a nice light that you can use for reading for hours witout eye strain.

I loved this lamp until it stopped working after 8 months of use. I bought a new bulb which didn't help, so I called the Grandrich company. They told me that it was probably the transformer and they would send me a free replacement. It turned out to be very complicated to install, so after a struggle, I gave up and bought a new lamp as it was simply not worth the time and effort involved. I find it greatly disappointing that it lasted for such a short time, and I would not recommend.Customer Review: Highy dissatisfied

I ordered this lamp and promptly set it up. It turned on and the light lasted 3 minutes. I called the company which told me it was the ballast. They sent me a new ballast (free) and I installed it - with difficulty. The light came on again for 2 minutes & died again. I sent the lamp back to Amazon and bought a teriffic lamp from Wal-mart! I'm not saying the company is bad - they were helpful in sending the new ballast, but the lamp must have inherent problems with its design.Customer Review: Just OK

This lamp is no more & no less than described.
Pros : I like the full-spectrum lighting. Nice & white & it makes every other lightbulb in the room look yellowish.
Cons: Replacement bulbs are $9.00. Only takes a few and you've doubled the cost of the lamp itself. Also I thought I was ordering a black one and it came in white. Not annoying enough to bother with returning it, but when I repeated the order as a test, I found nowhere does it ask you to choose a color.

This lamp was perfect for where I was using it----until it stopped working. It won't stay on. After a few minutes it stops working and I have to fiddle with the bulb to get it to light up again---for a little while. The bulb seems to fit tight and does not flicker when it is lit. I am not sure exactly what the problem is. I just know it does not work and I did not abuse it or, for that matter, even use it very much. I would not recommend this lamp to anyone. AVOID
