I ordered this lamp for my office that sits in the middle of a building with no windows. I previously had an office with a sky light, so I was missing the natural light. I received the lamp and found it had an odd design that caused the wires to be twisted when putting it together. However, it seemed to work fine for the first week. Since then the lamp has only worked intermittently, and quit working completely today after only 2 months.Customer Review: Simple review...Great!

Once you use this product you can't study or read with the normal desk lamps. The product looks "cheap" but it works great
Pros: Nice and bright! Plus, the light doesn't flicker and doesn't reflect off glossy paper.
Con: The goose neck design that allows you to move the lamp head around isn't designed very well. It doesn't conform to the position you want that easily and that's why i gave it a 4 star.

This lamp feels solid and provides adequate task lighting (not bright, mind you), but I was very disappointed after only a month of use that it quit on me entirely. The on/off switch went on the fritz and quit working altogether after only about one month of use. I have returned it to Amazon.com for a refund. very satisfied with this product. I bought 2 for work and as a pharmacist I use them to help me read prescriptions all day long. The extra light helps me read prescriptions and medicine bottles without having to wear reading glasses. Also having them on all day does not create any excess heat. Some simple assembly is required. I have this light on my desk where I write all sorts of papers and do a lot of reading from glossy-paged text books and ink jet printed pages. The light it produces is wonderful. It's easy on the eyes and the illumination is near perfect with minimal glare. The only downside is that it's not very aesthetically pleasing. But if you're looking for function over form, this is the light for you.
