I got this for evening reading.
Pros: It provides enough light for me with only 27 watts. Heavy-duty design makes it stand very stable.
Cons: Color is not very beautiful. And shape is not very "fashion".
So, it is a good choice if you need good light for reading but not VERY care about the design.

Using lights in your bedroom or living room ranges anywhere from 30 to 100 watts. I'm able to focus "sunlight" light onto a small area of work using these. I needed to replace a toddler size porcelain lamp in my bedroom and this plastic portable opposite is just the ticket. I don't know what a flourescent lamp has to do with sunlight. To me it is just a relief to have an easy to use lamp.
It is not a dark grey but a typical office putty color.

I am very satisfied with the price and quality of this reading lamp. The other, similar, lamps cost twice as much, if you really have too much $ to waste. This is also a good gift for students and people who read a lot. Remember too, this lamp doesnt generate heat, so it's also good to read by in summers.Customer Review: Great desk lamp

I purchased this as a desk lamp, and am very happy with it after two months of use. It does not heat up like the halogen lamps. It runs cool and provides enough light in the room that I seldom have to turn on my overhead light. It takes two hands to adjust, but it also doesn't move once it is adjusted.
