After purchasing these tools one of the steel bits fell out of the handle of one of them when I removed them from the package. I decided to "pin" the steel bits to the handles with 1/4" spring pins approximately 1/2" from the edge of the circular metal ferrules on the end of the wood handles. The wood is hard and the metal drilled ok. Now I like these tools even though re-sharpening is often.

Blades are made of high quality forged tool steel, correctly hardened, ground with proper bevels, and polished. Blades are securely fitted with long tangs into special designed natural finish hardwood handles. Blades are 6 1/2'' long, handles are 10 1/2'' long. Set contains: 1'' gouge, 5/8'' gouge, 3/8'' gouge, 1/2'' round nose, 1/2'' spear point, 1'' skew chisel, 1/2'' skew chisel, 1/8'' parting tool.Turning Tools
