Tools and Hardware Reviews of Greenlite NL/WH/3/1/CD/1 - LED 3-in-1 Night Light, Emergency Light, & Flashlight - GREAT STOCKING STUFFER!Customer Review: Good value Summary: 4 Stars
I have had two of these lights for about two weeks at the time of this review and am happy with their performance for the price. The light in nightlight mode is mostly directed down toward the floor which makes it easy to see at night. The flashlight mode is bright enough to be useful without being brighter than necessary (impressive, but wasteful of battery power).
The light does not seem to turn off completely during the day. It dims down a bit and covering the light sensor on the front causes the light to get brighter, but it never goes out. It also has a red led on the front that is always on and seems unnecessary.
Other reviewers have stated that the light blocks the second outlet. This is not correct, depending on what you are trying to plug in. The second outlet can be used, but you may not be able to plug in very large power supply type plugs. Normal cords and small plug chargers (like cell phone chargers) fit without an issue.
Customer Review: Good light for emergency lighting Summary: 5 Stars
If you're looking for a light to provide minimal lighting during a power failure then this is your light. If you're not familiar with LED lights they will not be confused with their non-LED counterparts but are bright enough to read by or do emergency maintenance in no electricity situations.
It would be nice if the nightlight could be turned off so this only lit up during power failures however it isn't a deal breaker but if you prefer to sleep in the dark don't put this light in the room with you unless you want it off completely and can get to it in the dark.
This light has been our best and longest lasting LED light. The other ones still work but have minor issues that are irritating. This light seems to work as well as the day we've bought it even after 2 years of being continually plugged in and used, we wish we could say that for the Sylvania Power Failure LED Lights we bought at SAM'S Club.
Customer Review: Good product-well worth it. Summary: 5 Stars
Although I haven't lost power since I bought 2 of these it is reassuring to know they are there in case I need them. The night light portion is a little weak but adequate. The only thing I would like changed is that they plug into the TOP outlet pointing upward. If they were made with the polarization in reverse they could plug into the bottom half of the duplex receptacle making the top plug easy to see and more accessible. In effect if you want to plug something else in along with this device you have to use the bottom plug and the room to do it is limited and hidden from view. I still like the old unpolarized plugs because you could plug them in either way but think this may be a mandatory U.L. requirement these days. This is a good item and worth the investment. I am going to buy 2 more....1 for the bathroom and 1 for another bedroom making the total 4.
Customer Review: 3 in 1 Emergency Light Summary: 5 Stars
This is just what I needed, now that hurricane season is upon us!
Opened packaged, plugged it in. Seems to be made of sturdy plastic. There are three positions (flashlight, nightlight and off positions). I left mine on nightlight.
There is a red light (charging light) in front and two white lights, that stay on constantly. Not a problem here. When the room is dark, the nightlight comes on. The light is bright enough that you can see where you are going. This may be a problem for some that likes their rooms dark at night.
I unplugged one this morning at 6 am, (to see how long it lasts). It is almost 8 pm now and it's still as bright as when I unplugged it. 14 hours, WOW!
I ordered 2, and am now ready to order 3 more. I highly recommend this light.
The only down side is you cannot replace the batteries!
Customer Review: This is so Cool Summary: 5 Stars
Ok, so it's just a night light. But it's a REALLY COOL NIGHTLIGHT.
The LEDs are bright and progressively dim or brighten depending on light conditions. It seems that you can use this in two night light modes: one with the two "night light" LEDs that provide a difuse light; and the other in the "flashlight" mode. The "flashlight" mode bathes the wall and ceiling above the electrical outlet with light, similar to that of a wall sconce. The product doesn't say anything about using it in this mode, but it works.
Oh, the best part: you get excellent light output with nearly zero electricy usage. No guilt about these lights being on all night.
