This works well on newly fallen pecans when they are right on top of the ground, however, the wires tend to move enough that your pecans start coming out. I would only rate this product FAIR. I am still using my hands and knees to retrieve my pecans, even after buying this product.
Description of Pecan Roll-A-Nut
Designed to pick up nuts without having to see them. Empty by gently spreading springs at bottom of wheel. Wheel made from hand drawn wire spring with 3/8" cold roll steel for handle. Holds up to 2 quarts.If you're tired of kneeling for hours to clear your lawn of acorns, the Roll-A-Nut nut gatherer can make that job a snap. You simply apply a little downward pressure as you roll it over your lawn, and the nut gatherer picks acorns up and holds them within its wheel until you're ready to remove them. Remove by gently spreading the coils at the bottom of the wheel.
