Customer Review: Great concept, poor execution...

My husband was tired of having his slacks slip off the regular plastic hangers we had. I was also tired of having tops that, no matter how cleverly you place the shoulders on the hanger, end up on the closet floor time after time. These hangers seemed like the perfect solution. And the hangers are a perfect solution...but the metal "necks" that hold the hangers on the closet bar(or doorknob)suck. Out of 30 hangers purchased, at least 9 have had the metal part break off rendering the hanger useless. When this happened the first time I thought , oh I will just screw it back together. No dice...I'm not sure how they are manufactured, but large parts of the piece of the hanger that holds the metal break off so there is nothing to screw back into.
The hangers that have not broken (yet?) are really nice. No more clothes sliding off on to the floor no matter what material they are made of. They are also a good size so items hang nicely with no drooping shoulders, etc. I just wish I could could use the hangers and not be concerned that every time I use one the head will break off.
So, buy these at your own risk. Or maybe try a different brand. It really is a great concept, I just need to find someone who does a better job of executing it!
