We have a 1.5 year old Bosch dishwasher with the stainless steel tub. We were starting to get some hard water buildup on the door and other inside surfaces. And it would start to smell musty if you didn't leave the door open for it to dry after you wash a load.
Just ran this cleaner through. The inside looks like new!
Not sure on the smell yet... but I assume that with the residue dissolved the smell will stay away too.
But, its worth it just to dissolve the hard water buildup and keep the washer working and looking like new.
I'll be buying this again!

I bought a house with a used dishwasher in it that looks like it is over 10 years old. I didn't realize until I used this Glisten cleaner that the racks inside the washer were supposed to be bright white, and not a pearl-y slightly creamy white!
This cleaner also made the dishwasher smell really good. It really "GLISTENed" inside after one use. I've never thought to SCRUB the inside of a dishwasher, but after seeing what this cleaner can do, I think it's kind of unsanitary if I don't use this often. It was truly amazing!
I will definitely continue to purchase this item!

I was given a used, stainless-interior dishwasher for my kitchen last month. It was covered in pretty tough hard water stains and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a LONG time. After trying a competitive liquid product with little success, I added a box of Glisten to another Amazon order. It SAVED my dishwasher! The interior, which had turned a grimy gray was sparkling and the plastic was a clean beige-- almost like new. This product is definitely worth the price, although I think a double treatment might be indicated on really tough cases. This product was recommended to me by a dishwasher repairman. Use it periodically to keep your dishwasher clean from hard water deposit builtup. Our dishes were coming out cloudy with a film until we started using Glisten. I ran twy cycles with the Glisten until my dishes started coming out sparkeling clean.....I was amazed at what a difference it made. The dishwasher repairman also added that 1 teaspoon of Glisten could be added to regular dishwasher soap per cycle on an ongoing basis.....I've been doing this and shiney clean dishes every time.Customer Review: Good, but not if it's over $4.

The product works, no doubt about it. You simply pour the contents of the packet in the soap dispenser and start up a washing cycle. It cleaned my dishwasher pretty well although not quite as thoroughly as the competition.
Why does it get only 4 out of 5 stars? Price! At nearly $8 at the time of this review, it's not even CLOSE to being worth it. When/if it returns to $3-$4, it's definitely worth your money. Until then, spend your $3 on some Dishwasher Magic instead (which I found actually works even better than Glisten).
