When this is setup reasonably this seems to do a good job of keeping deer away. The smaller criters really don't care, raccoons are probably smart enough to turn it off if they care and turn it back on after so you won't know. The sensor is wind sensitive so if you set it too high, it will be triggering all the time on windy days. It would be nice if it had a toggle switch to turn it on and off so the setting could be left in one place. Better would be a button to turn it off for 1 hour so you could work in the area and not have to worry about turning it back on.Customer Review: Spray Away works, but has some drawbacks

The motion activated Spray Away has been helpful in keeping deer out of my flower beds. If you have a large area to protect as I do, the sensor angle is too narrow to protect more than a small area. The battery does not last very long. I leave the system on during the day, but turn the water off. Even so, I've had to replace the battery in about a month of usage. The range is decent, about 25 feet max. Overall, the product is worth it to keep the deer from destroying nearly every living green thing in your yard or garden.Customer Review: It's simple and it works

Deer around my home continually ate the leaves down to nothing on my two small hibiscus trees. With this water spray, it is noisy enough and sensitive enough to really work. In two weeks both trees now have good size leaves. I do not understand anyone not being able to figure out how to set this, it is simple enough for a child to do. Make sure you check the unit every couple of weeks to be sure the 9 volt battery is strong enough to trigger the motion sensor. Other than that no maintenance is required.Customer Review: The "Doggie Park" can be mowed again!

No amount of "Thank you for picking up after your dog" signs worked with my neighborly (and I use that term loosely) dog-walkers. Every lawn mowing led to unseen, squishy underfoot land mines. This fab invention has saved the day. It does have the ability to string hoses between multiple sprayers if needed. If I had to cover much more area I would probably go for a second one, but this sprays about 30 feet and keeps dogs and walkers away even further than the spray actually reaches. My dad uses this product in his garden and has no problems so I decided to purchase one for my garden. My dad has had problems with deer, rabbits and blue jays and I have had many problems with skunks, cats, and raccoons. Since installing the Havaheart niether of us have had any problems with these pests.
Mine is a little leaky, but my husband was able to fix the problem with a little plumber's tape. Also, it would be better if it had a telescoping stake to make it stand taller.
