Customer Review: Out Of Reach Switch

Purchased this switch not knowing that it was not like the one I purchased elsewhere.
1) Switch has a loud on/off click
2) Switch buzzes when it is being used
3) Wall plate is too bulky/thick
For the price of $9 and change, this switch replaced a hard to reach switch located in a corner,
it is worth the price. The switch I purchased elsewhere for $20 is much better for a bedroom.
Basically, this is a cheap unit and you get what you pay for.
Installation was simple, instructions were correct. Works as advertised.

When I purchased and installed my FIRST Heath Zenith BL-6133-WH wireless switch, I was extremely pleased with its design and function. Mistakes- I did not keep the receipt. In less than two years it quit working. Changed the battery but no dice. So I ordered a replacement from Amazon becasue the unit was perfect for my application. The replacement came, installed it, it did not work.
Called the Customer Service desk at heath Xenith, described the problem, and they promptly sent me a replacment, and so far it is working fine. I am definately keeping the reciept handy.

Searched Amazon's site for a remote wireless wall switch. Got one and then another from "L-----" neither of which worked. Found this item on another site, re-researched Amazon, found this and it works great! Amazon needs to update its search mode so a consumer might find this excellent product more easily and not waste its time with the "L" product.

We mounted our new TV on the wall and unfortunately it made one of our light switches totally inaccessible. What to do, what to do? My wife found this item on Amazon and we gave it a try. It was extremely easy to install and has worked flawlessly. It may have a range of 10-15 feet but we have it mounted on the opposite side of the wall. We repainted the white cover and it matches very well. The actual switch unit requires a battery which I had forgotten to install the first time. But it has worked very well. We are both highly pleased.Customer Review: Defective

I only awarded a star because it was required. Previous reviews of this device had noted that it was sometimes hard to get consistent wireless switching performance, but the device I received wouldn't even work properly as a primary switch: The light I connected it to would flicker when the switch was turned off, indicating that some power was still passing through the switch. That kind of poor quality control in electrical devices is very not OK, so I didn't even ask for a replacement. Fortunately Amazon made the return easy.
