Customer Review: Don't buy this! It cannot be trusted.

I received this about a week ago, and after much moving around of the button I discovered that it is only reliable in the same room as the bell unit. About 30' away, through a glass window and a plaster wall, and it only worked 50% of the time.
If there is a doorbell button people will push it, and half of the time you won't know a thing about it and whoever it is will do what they do when no one answers the door. The unit is not to be trusted; it is worse than useless. Mine is in the trash, along with almost double its value in batteries for which I now have no use.

We recently moved into an apartment after having lived in a house for over twenty five years. The door knocker could not be heard unless we happened to be in the front room. This wireless doorbell is exactly what we were looking for. The push button unit mounted very easily to the front door and we mounted the chime box in the hallway. Now we can hear when anyone comes by. And the chime sound is wonderful! We are very pleased with this product.Customer Review: Bad buttons

We have several doorbell units at different places in the house so we can be sure to hear a caller. The door bell units are fine. BUT, the buttons are LOUSY! Unless you press them just right they don't send a signal to the doorbell. And, they don't stand the weather well if they are fully exposed. It's very upsetting to have people walk away or deliveries dropped on the door step when it's freesing outside and you didn't even know someone was there.Customer Review: can be heard throughout the house

This wireless doorbell has so far worked well. I bought it to augment an inexpensive driveway alert device. The driveway alarm emits a single high pitched peep that can only be heard in the room with the station. I bought the doorbell hoping to use it to better broadcast the signal. It took a little more work than I had anticipated, soldering wires to the circuit board. Heath Zenith wireless door bells use the same frequency. Meaning, if your neighbor has one of the Heath Zenith model door bells, every time some one rings your door it rings the next door as well. This an on going problem and we replaced a few at a property complex and was not succesful. So, try other brands if you face the same situation.
