Dear Folks,
I too, have been victimized by wireless door chimes that claim to.... but fail.
Our previous tries included the outside door button being so flimsy that the battery would lose contact and needed to be poked to work; also dampness affected its ability to make contact.
When it did chime, my dog didn't even know it.
Finally!!! This works. Solid construction, water sealed outdoor button, loud chimes, and the dog wakes up.
It offers a large selection of tunes, but we don't use that; just wanted one that works EVERY TIME someone comes to the door; not sometimes.

I was 110% pleased with the Heath Musical Doorbell Chime. Very easy to operate and can be heard throughout my home much better than the traditionally installed chime I currently have. I also like the fact that it is mobile and I can take it with me in the event that I move. I highly recommend it. Fun to change the tunes according to holidays or your mood of the day. For ease of changing tunes often, just set it out of sight on top of something high like I did instead of actually installing it on the wall.Customer Review: Musical Door Chime

Pleased thus far with this musical door chime!! I did take away one star because it is a bit tedious to change the tunes. I had to use a pair of tweezers to change the tune selection. There is a tab that fits down over the tune selection pins and you have to look at the list of tunes printed on the cover and then count the number of pins that coincide with the tune selection. My doorbell switch is installed about 15 feet away from the chimes. It works every time. Having the ability to change tunes is really cool. The chimes do need D batteries, though. Have some on hand if you're anxious to get it up and running upon delivery.Customer Review: Just what I wanted
