Customer Review: Remote Door Chime for Businesses
Summary: 4 Stars
This unit works well once you change the frequency from that which comes factory set. If you leave it like the factory sets it you get quite a few false rings possibly from aberrant signals in the area. Also, the battery in the remote unit does not insert solidly so you have to be really quick to get the door back on it. Finally, I don't believe you can set it so that it only has one chime for the entry. Your choices are either Westminster or ding-dong. I'd prefer a single ding (or dong). Otherwise, it is a very nice unit. I'd recommend it. Amazon's return is also very hassle-free as I had to replace the first unit I received. They sent out a return label and a new unit. Very efficient.

Worried that you won't be able to hear the doorbell when you're in the garden, garage, or basement? With Heath Zenith's wireless SL-6168, you can simply pick up the chime and take it with you (it plugs in to a standard polarized socket). To install, all you need to do is mount the doorbell and plug in the chime-no electrical installation is needed.The volume of the chime is adjustable, and you can select one of three different chimes. You can also change the code settings (which allow the doorbell to communicate with the chime) to make sure your neighbor's wireless systems don't set of your chime. The SL-6168 gives you the added benefit of an entry-alert sensor that sets off a chime every time the door is opened or closed.
