This is a very good welding hood to start with. It's well worth the price you pay. The solor-powered auto-dakening works well and i have had not problems with it so far. I like the red color. You may have to purchase a helmet sweatband because the the headgear isn't very comfortable, other than that it's a great helmet if you're just starting out.
