Customer Review: works but will have to modify it(cycles too much also)

I used this product for about a month.It does work but i had to modify mine.There is a problem with an air bubble getting trapped on the tank valve and not letting the water drain down into the tray and onto the filter.I had to modify the "plastic finger" in the tray that the tank sits on so the valve would open farther and not trap the bubbles.I just cut a marker/pen cap in half and placed it over the finger to make the finger longer in the tray so the valve would open farther.However after the modification it doesnt work too bad.This thing does cycle waaayy too much.It turns itself on and off about every 5-10 seconds which cant be good.I still cant recommend the product because its engineered wrong.Customer Review: Same as Holmes -- crappy humidifier

As another reviewer mentioned, you cannot use the "auto" settings on this humidifier, because it perpetually cycles on and off (set it on 45, and it goes on at 44, off three seconds later at 45, on two seconds later at 44, etc.). I also don't think it humidifies my house. And aside from all of that, the filter is only good for a month or so (if you have dogs or cats, even less). I'd say save the money from buying these over and over (I have, until this year, bought one every other year) and just get a really good warm-mist or cool-mist humidifier. I'm not convinced these fan-based things even work, and they are incredibly loud in addition to all of that.Customer Review: Best Humidifier we own

I've had this for several years now. We've had several different types of humidifier and this is our favorite. We have a large master bedroom and it does a great job in it. It actually creates a misty environment in the kid's smaller room, so you have to use a lower setting. It is very easy to clean and very easy to fill.
The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the difficulty of finding replacement filters and how loud it can be, which some may like for white noise. I never use the auto settings because the on/off cycling is too annoying.

No, it is not the quietest humidifier on the block, but its no worse than a box fan in the window in the summer. I find it very effective at doing its job and it is easy to maintain. With regular use and recommended filter changes, mold is not an issue and it removes some of the dust from the air. The only reason I'm replacing it is because I damaged the one I've had for 3 years when I moved. Getting another one just like it.Customer Review: Sunbeam Humidifier

This model was referred to me and after purchasing it I have found that it is a great humidifier. I keeps the room very humid, as needed and the wick does not keep drying out causing me to have to buy wicks more often than needed. It does not make much noise even on high. I would buy this model again if needed. So far I have had it going on 2 months.
