Customer Review: Remover tool lacks durability

I used the caulk remover tool to remove silicone caulk from my shower. I first applied 3M caulk remover to soften the caulk. The tool worked great. The sharpened point was ideal for digging into and getting under the caulk. The flat blade worked at removing some of the silicone residue that stuck to the flat surfaces of the shower. After this one use, I noticed that the leading edges of the tool had become dulled. The next time I needed to remove caulk, I bypassed this tool and went straight to a sharp putty knife I had laying around. This tool worked great at removing the caulk and all of the remaining silicone residue. Although, the putty knife may not work as well on more delicate surfaces, scratches.
As for the caulk smoohter, it worked as expected. I used this in applying a new bead of caulk in my shower and ended up with a nice looking, uniform finish. The tool does have a problem working in tight corners.
