Customer Review: Doesn't work in brick-encased mailboxes

I was initially excited about this purchase. It was just what I had been looking for. Unfortunately, although it does fit inside my mailbox measurement-wise, locks and unlocks easily with the key (two provided), and seems sturdy, they failed to mention in their on-line description how to install it or that you would have to be able to access the underside of the mailbox to do so. Per the included instructions, the way this insert attaches requires drilling two holes through the underside of the mailbox to put bolts through. (By the way, neither a drill-bit nor the bolts were included.) I have a brick-encased mailbox, which means I cannot access the underside of my mailbox. Being an engineer and a tinkerer, I did, after many hours of thought and work, jerry-rig a way to install it, but the on-line description really should have mentioned the installation requirements. For as much work as it was, I might have been better off trying to persuade my HOA to let me tear down the brick one and put up a different type entirely.
