At first glance, it looks like a great design and that's why I bought it -- a collapsible hamper that can flatten down to a few inches in height when empty. Not like I've ever collapsed it after I got it home, but it's useful when you're not carrying a full load.
After months of use, with the nylon cover a little on the thin side, the metal wire that forms the spring coil has begun tearing out at the top, with no easy way of reinserting, despite being cushioned with a soft rubber cap on the end. Cheap nylon cloth. Or at least not properly reinforced. Inside the hamper, the thin plastic panel at the bottom starts cracking around the caster mount points and little bits of it dump out with my laundry every time I upend it. Cheap plastic.
It's a great size to fill up with clothes, you just don't want to move it after its full, because it's so unwieldy. First and foremost, this thing needs proper handles -- simple reinforced ovals cut across the top would do. I have a similar collapsible bin made out of tarp plastic and has a pair of padded nylon straps along the rim. Not the flimsy shoulder strap that no one in their right mind would toss over their shoulder to support some unstable, unforgiving mass of laundry, spring wires jabbing you in the back as it rolls back and forth, teetering and threatening to tumble it and possibly you to the ground. Mine tore away at one end just trying to move it one day. At least the mesh closure cinched across the top will keep everything from falling out.
Nice try on the way it's made, but flawed execution and cut corners in manufacturing threatens to toss it out every time I carry it up and down the three levels of my house between bedroom and laundry room.
