Customer Review: This Unit is About as Noisy as a Window Air Condition Unit

I thoroughly satisfied with this product. I have an awful spring allergy seasons and this past spring has been my most minor one so far thanks to this air purifier. I have a small bedroom and I kept this machine running 24/7. I also kept the windows closed all spring (it is so tempting to open them during the first few nice days of spring but I resisted). Keeping the windows shut and this machine running, my bedroom air was clean of pollen and I was able to breathe through my nose when going to sleep (if you have allergies you know how awful it is not to be able to breathe through your nose when trying to sleep).Customer Review: Honeywell rocks

I am on my second larger version of Honeywell HEPA air purifier. The first one finally died after several years of continuous use. I ordered the 16200 for the small bedroom occupied by my granddaughter and her husband. He has environmental allergies as do I and I have felt bad when listening to him sniffle and sneeze. We have 2 cats, one of which sheds generously. Since the 16200 was installed in their room he says he feels better and I haven't been hearing him so much. It is very quiet, unobtrusive and takes up very little of their precious little space.Customer Review: WORKS FINE GREAT BUY

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS UNIT, I cant help but wonder if the reviewers below aren't from the competitors -----
Like ALL air filters it makes noise, very little on low and more on high - there is no such thing as a quite air driven -- air filter...that works---
its works like all Honeywell air filters; this is my third -- VERY PLEASED WITH ALL MY HONEYWELL FILTERS - ITS DOESN'T NOT MOVE - OR VIBRATE --- ITS A GREAT BUY ---

I was worried that I might be wasting my money but this purifier was well worth it!
My mother is severely allergic to cats and was going to be staying for 5 days, 2 weeks prior to her arrival I moved the purifier keeping it in each room for a few days then had it in whatever room she was in along with plenty of cleaning. She didn't once have to take allergy medicine.
I haven't tried any other purifiers so I can't compare but with as well as it has worked I don't need to.

Nice small little HEPA Filter. Does a fairly good job of removing allergens. I have one in my bedroom, on the lowest setting it is not very noisey - does not interfere with sleeping. My problem with this unit is the replacement filter. I paid $40 for this, but the replacement filters are $30, and need to be replaced every 3 months - $120 per year in filters. I am going to return this machine and buy a permanent filter machine instead.
