I purchased not one, but TWO safes. Imagine my surprise when BOTH were missing keys. One, okay, snafu at the packaging department. Two, much bigger problem. Yes, both safes were missing keys. I can't rate the safe, since I'm returning it, but I'm happy to give Honeywell a black eye for this.
Description of Honeywell 2037 .62 Cubic Foot Fire and Water File Chest
Imagine the horror of enduring a fire or flood in your home or office and the pain of rebuilding. While couches and lamps and dishes are replaceable, imagine not being able to replace important documents and electronic files that are destroyed in the fire, by the water used to fight the fire, or by a flood. While shopping for a new couch might be fun, waiting in line at the county office to obtain a new birth certificate or marriage license is annoying at the very best. Why not be prepared in case of a fire by placing your important documents and computer back-up devices in the Honeywell model 2037 1/2 hour fire rated file chest that is also waterproof? The 2037 is conveniently sized to store letter sized hanging folders. The 2037 is a UL classified media protection device tested to withstand an external temperature up to 1550 degrees for 1/2 hour. Most residential fires last less than 30 minutes so the 2037 is a good choice for a small document and electronic media protection solution. In addition to the UL testing, the 2037 has also been independently verified to protect electronic media, such as memory sticks, CD¿s, DVD¿s and external hard drives, in a fire. The independently verified waterproof seal on the 2037 enables the chest to float during a flood, making it easy to locate, as well as providing protection from the flood water. The 2037 is secured by a clamping style latch with key lock. All Honeywell fire rated products are covered by a 5 year manufacturer¿s warranty and will be replaced free of charge if damaged in a fire.Protect important hanging files from thieves, fire, and water with this electronic, digital locking steel box. The box holds 8-1/2 by 11-inch papers and photos stored flat, protecting them against fire and temperatures reaching 1,550 degrees F for up to 30 minutes.
