I bought this in octouber 2009 but install it just some days ago. When i wat changing my code the key did not come out. I called them and the only way would be send the unit to be changed. This would const more than a new one. So I will have to put this new unit on the trash and buy another one.

I was looking for a little safe for my daughters apartment in PHL. Most of the ones I looked at were over $100 so when I found this one I thought what a deal. It is, however, if you are looking for fireproof safe then this is not the one for you. That is why it was so much cheaper than the others I was looking at. I did not realize it when I purchased it, but when I got it home, my husband pointed that out immediately. Otherwise I would recommend this safe, just be aware its not fireproof.Customer Review: Junk

As others have stated, the lock cylinder is junk. The key is stuck, the lock will not turn, and the key can not be removed. The only positive is that it happened in the open position.
I called Sisco, which made the Honeywell safe on Nov. 2, 2009. They promised to send a replacement lock cylinder "within a week" I called back on Nov. 23, Dec. 14, Dec. 31, and Jan. 7, 2010. Each time they said 1 week.
On Jan. 7 I was given a Fed Ex Tracking number which shows it was shipped yesterday from Gardena, CA and is on the truck for delivery today, Jan. 7.
9 1/2 weeks. Even if it comes, Honeywell and First Alert who now owns them, has lost a lot of their reputation.
The safe construction is satisfactory. Even if the new lock cylinder works, the cylinder itself is an incredibly cheap piece.
DO NOT BUY THIS SAFE. Carefully consider any Honeywell product.

I could not bolt the safe to the floor because the hardware that came with it did not fit through the predrilled holes. It did not work when it arrived. I changed the circut board twice and it still will not work. The safe is now discontinued and I cannot exchange it. I can only open it with the key and a spare key is very costly to replace. Avoid this product.Customer Review: Excellent product!

Very good safe. Light weight and durable. Holds my personal documents and medications very well. Can be easily attached to the wall, but if your going to put expensive things like jewelry and money, you should invest in a large heavy safe for those items as this safe looks like it could be broken into if stolen.
