Last time I got one of the non-Honeywell filters, it was too big and stuck out the side a bit, but it functioned fine. This time the one from Filters-Now was a bit too short, and it did not fit tight with the side plate causing a loud whistling noise. I added a couple of washers under the tightening knob so that the side plate would fit tight to eliminate the noise. It works fine after this 'adjustment'.Customer Review: Identical to the original filter

After reading some of the other reviews, I was somewhat concerned when ordering as it seemed as if this will be an after market item and some had issues with the size of the filter that did not match the HEPA machine.
The item that I received fit perfectly unto a Honeywell 17440, and is working well for about a month now.

THIS FILTER IS NOT MADE BY HONEYWELL!!! THIS IS AN AFTERMARKET FILTER!!!
Keeping that in mind, the filter is ok. I have no way of determining if the filter is better or worse than the Honeywell one. Buyer Beware!

Yes, the 22500 does work great, but for less you can get 2 HRF-14s (Honeywell enviracaire UNIVERSAL REPLACEMENT TRUE HELP FILTER) to do the same job...Customer Review: 6 months waiting period
