Tools and Hardware Reviews of Honeywell Fresh Breeze Tower Fan with Remote Control

Customer Review: Perfect!
Summary: 5 Stars

I wanted to get rid of my window fan because it seems to bring in a lot of nats.

I searched for a fan that wont take up much space and I found this tower fan, it looked really cool. I bought it, got it within like 3 days.

I put it together in a snap and plugged it in and it worked great! It blows a ton of air I was really impressed. The remote even worked great! I really liked the ionizer one it, it just freshens my room :) I was also shocked how quiet it was, I really liked that.

I had this fan on for like 1 week and never turned it off, expect when the power went out once. This fan just kept working and worked so greatly. I had it on for a whole been straight because we had a heat wave but now that the heat wave has passed I don't need it on as much, but I do have it on every night when I sleep.. It really helps me sleep.

The only thing I dislike about this fan is that it wobbles a lot, but it still is really sturdy.

It's just what I was looking for!

Customer Review: Kept me cool during the hot summer months
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought one of these fans for the hot summers of Berkeley California when I was going to summer school at University of California Berkeley and I liked it so much that I bought a second. The only problem with it was the fact that it was not as powerful as I would have hoped and therefore the fan wind force was a little weak for the size of the module and fan. The fan was quite a good price for what the machine can do and it does put out a nice amount of wind/breeze compared to fans of the same price. It also has many nice features like the filtering system that is easily cleaned by removing the back side and wiping the filter with a clean cloth. The timed shut off is also a nice convenient feature that allowed me leave the house with it on when I left the house or fell asleep at night. It looks sleek and modern as well so it is able to be in a corner seen and not look like a protypical fan that is an eyesore.

Customer Review: Great fan, but the base needs a redesign
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a very nice fan that runs day and night in my home office with no mechanical issues whatsoever. I've owned it for a little under a year or so and it really is a workhorse.

However, the design for the base connectors is a joke. There are six little plastic flange-like clips that interlock with the base at the center. But there is no way to lock them permanently into place and if you move the fan, the base will often slip right off and then you're forced to flip it over and fasten the thing on again. After a few moves in my office, two of the clips broke off and now it's very difficult to get things seated securely again. This is an absolutely boneheaded design, in my opinion. It detracts from an otherwise quality product.

But aside from this poor bit of engineering, I'm still inclined to give kudos where appropriate. Especially for the price, this is a good fan.

Customer Review: Value buy
Summary: 5 Stars

Time Used
Since around 3 months.

Pros
1. This fan pushes a good amount of air. Hence reduces the need for A/C or you could reduce the thermostat a little bit down. Reduces the electricity bill and kind of pays for itself.
2. The tower shape make it blend to the decor and does not look odd.
3. Both the timer and temperature control helps to turn itself off when not needed. I usually set them before going to sleep so that it doesn't get too cold or in case I forget to turn it off in the morning.
4. The remote is useful to control it from the bed.
5. I find the little flash light in the remote useful in the dark.
6. The ionizer is useful when cooking and if the smells spread. Switch on the ionizer for sometime and quickly the odor dies away.

Cons
1. It does not remember the last used settings.

Customer Review: So many great reviews misled me
Summary: 1 Stars

So many great reviews saying the fan "pushed a lot of air" led me to buy two. The first broke during assembly - all the little plastic "flanges" that are supposed to connect the fan to the base broke off; I'm a frail arthritic old lady; anything I can break is very flimsy. Thankfully, there was also one screw to attach the two pieces, so now I have a somewhat unstable, but useable fan. When I plugged it in, I was shocked. It pushed less air than a $12.95 20" box fan. Yes, it does oscillate a full 180 degrees. Sitting 15' directly in front of it, I can barely feel the air move about the time the fan completes the second 90 degree arc of it's oscillation.

It is quiet. So is a palm frond waved gently thru the air. They create about the same breeze.

Needless to say, the second fan was returned unopened. Since the first is broken, I can't return it.
