I purchased this model about a year ago at a local retailer. I wish I would have bought two, fortunately Amazon still carries this model so I was still able to purchase another one of these amazing fans! I'm not a big fan (no pun intended) of having multiple types of fans in my home and with this fan being so aesthetically pleasing I really wanted this exact model of fan.
It is really quiet for the amount of air it pushes out and the tower design allows me to put it in corners and still have it rotate. The timer setting is very useful as I set it to circulate and freshen the air with the ionizer during the day for 4-6 hours at a time, saving money on my energy bill if it were instead running for 8-10hrs.
I would recommend this fan to anyone and everyone!

I read a lot of reviews on this fan regarding how quiet it was, I find that even on the lowest setting it produces a great deal of noise, and not mild background noise, but unavoidable noise that is hard to tune out, and this is the lowest setting. I HIGHLY recommend the newer Honeywell 'Quiet Set' tower fan, model HY-108,(check my other reviews to see this actual model) I havn't found it on Amazon but I bought it at Target, its the upgraded version of this one, and it has 8 speed settings, the first 4 are so quiet I dont even hear them and I LOVE it, and it has all the features of the fresh breeze, except the ionizer, which seems more like a marketing gimmick than truly funtional...As for the Fresh Breeze fan, I will be giving it away, its even too loud to use as a 2nd fan.Customer Review: Really A Great Unit

I've been using the Honeywell HY-47D model for 3 weeks now. I believe it is the same unit as pictured above. I am really impressed with this product for the price and service it does for you. I bought it for $49.99.
This is an Ionizer Tower Fan. It does not clean air as well as a Honeywell HFD-120 Air Purifier. So do not compare it to that standard. I have the more expensive $150 Honeywell HFD-120 Air Purifier and it cleans air well. However this $49.99 unit gives very nice fresh air and the fresh air it gives is much better than the Air Purifiers.
I tried sleeping with both models turned on. My sleep was much easier with the $49.99 Ionizer. I also wake up refreshed and relaxed. Couldn't get the same effect with the Air Purifier.

I've had this fan for about 3 years (I got 2 - one for each room) and I am very happy with them. Love the remote/flashlight feature. Great circulation. In the summer I rotate between the air conditioner and the fan, putting the A/C on for about 1 hour then letting the fan circulate the air and it keeps the apartment cool through the evening. Easy to clean, just remove the filter in the back and either vaccuum or wash once a month. I don't use the ionizer very often, usually when I need to get rid of stale odors or burning food smells and smoke from neighbors. The main reason I don't use the ionizer is that it increases the dust on the furniture so you have to dust more. The black goes perfectly with our decor. I ordered this fan after reading reviews. It was packed well & arrived well. The assembly was not too difficult. The directions say it keeps the last setting (speed & rotation) in memory but I havent found that to be true, but not a big deal. It does circulate the air well. Like other people who have purchased it, I also dont care for the breeze mode...it flexuates the speed & is a bit annoying so I just dont use that mode. The remote fits nicely on top of the fan. It doesnt seem to be overly loud either as we have it in our living room & are able to hear the tv w/ the fan on. The timer mode is handy also as you can set it to go off after a certain amount of time. Also it tells you the temprature of the room which is a nice feature. I like this fan!!
